Here is a list of restaurants that I believe you should be aware of if you live in Columbia.  I'll give you a little explanation of why we like them, and what to expect when you go there.  Send me an e-mail and let me know what you think after you have visited some of them!

CJ's in Tiger Country

These guys have the best wings in town in my opinion.  They range from mild to BYFO (Burn Your Face Off).  They are a wet style wing and the medium on up use a Tabasco based sauce.  My wife and I like the "Hot" which is a great mix of spiciness and flavor.  My mouth is watering just writing this!

Murry's is probably one of the best bang for the bucks in Columbia as far as the quality of food, and the amount that you get.  I have never had a meal there that I did not think was great.  Their sandwiches are actually what I get most of the time.  Their chicken philly and hot ham and cheese are excellent.  You can get some fancier dishes like steaks and fish as well, all have been excellent in our experience.  Be sure to get an order of their onion rings too.  If you go in the evenings, you are likely to find some live Jazz to compliment your meal.

Flat Branch Pub and Brewing

This is one of the best "hang out" type of restaurants in town in my opinion.  It has a great relaxed atmosphere and is especially good  for slightly larger groups of friends that need more than a small table although they have small tables too!  If the weather is good, their patio is one of our favorite places to meet friends for dinner.  The food is very good and if you are a beer connoisseur, this will be a fun place for you to try out.  They have a large range of types of food including sandwiches and pizzas.
